Can We Make IT?

The answer to that question is yes we can make it.What do I entail by the term ‘can we make it’.I refer to being as successful as someone can possible be.

Growing up my dream was and still is to be self employed.I always have that passion to be independent, the feeling you can travel the world and fully enjoy life, learning about different cultures and networking with people of different ethnicity, to me is one of the greatest aspirations one can accomplish. On the other hand with this comes hard work, being consistent, diligent and understanding.

I remember when I was in primary school,I used to drink pipe water at lunch time and eat ‘box lunch’ as we will call it in Trinidad and Tobago simply to save the three dollars my ‘beautiful mom’ would have given to me each day.My school was in the Trincity area, that was walking distance from where I reside, gladly I did not have to pay for transportation to and fro. As I clearly recalled,it was in the year 1990- 1997 I attended Dinsley Trincity Government Primary School.

As I left my primary education, I entered the new realm of secondary education. It was a dilemma, I failed my CXC exams (Caribbean Examinations Council) and had to repeat, thanks to playing football with a passion, I was granted the opportunity to obtain a next chance to sit exams once more. That GOD given opportnity I got I made the best of it and came out with six subjects. Moreover, my passion for football was inordinate and I really wanted to become a professional footballer, unfortunately I was not developing the necessary skills to become more marketable to play at an advance level in my football journey.Inddition I decided to change my career part and focus on academics.

I went on to tertiary level education where I did my bachelors in business management as it was fundamental to be self motivated.Completing my undergraduate degree I went into the ‘working sector’.Saving my income was of utmost importance to me,there where I developed my mindset, skills and capabilities to be great. As I got a fair idea as to how the business world works,I ventured into my ‘side hustles’ comprising of my online clothing store and leasing of vehicles to potential candidates who are willing to accept my terms and conditions.

Each six months pass,I purchase foreign used vehicles, lease it and goes again. Thus far it is going well.Presently am eagerly developing a new talent as I see the need in training and development in many different sectors of today’s market .

In conclusion we all are given the opportunity to make our dreams become a reality,we have to dream big.Don’t work on the government for any handouts,we together, networking can accomplish success and with that accomplish, can give a success story to motivate someone else to become great.A life story is better to convey than a person convincing someone that it is easy to ‘make it.’You can only strive to be great,if you fail remember the saying ‘failure nurtures progress’ to me failure can only motivate you to do better, sometimes a little story can touch someone. If I can motivate one person to become great,I will feel great inside as I love the feeling I get inside,I accomplish something, that is my purpose. It is not for financial gain, the money will come eventually.
